Walked about 7 miles with Scott. It was the last day of Summer Streets, and the weather was beautiful (albeit a little warm around 1). We took the subway a few miles south, walked a few miles, then walked all the way home, with some stops along the way.
Bought almost 10 pounds of bone-in chicken breasts. Whole30 made me do it. And an awesome sale at Whole Foods.
Prepped so. much. food. I toasted a pound of almonds and turned it into almond butter, toasted coconut flakes, made ghee with Kerrygold butter, chopped and sauteed radishes (saved some raw for snacking), sauteed the radish greens, roasted a pound of brussels sprouts, chopped and roasted a butternut squash, made tomato sauce with meat (enough for dinner and leftovers), prepped zucchini noodles for dinner and roasted an eggplant.
This shit better last a few days, at least.
Bought stain and paint to make my cheapy Ikea dresser pretty. I’m going to stain the top, sides and legs dark, glossy brown. The drawer fronts will get a coat of very light blue, and the sides of the drawers (the part that shows when they’re pulled out) will be coral. I just need to find some pretty knobs.
Helped Scott hang some pictures in our bedroom. Step 1 of making it a fun place to sleep.
